Animating a Quadruped Walk CycleTutorial: Samy Fecih

Samy Fecih has a long history in the animation industry. He is currently a Lead Animator over at Dreamworks India and has put up a tutorial on animating a quadruped walk cycle. It’s a great insight to his workflow and some great tips in there as well.

Ted Ty – Genuine Acting

Another clip from the Pixel Challenge lectures, this time Dreamworks Animator and iAnimate Instructor Ted Ty chats about looks at different footage to really find emotion and the underlying context to help get into what the people or character is feeling and thinking.

New Online Animation School: ianimate.net

If you haven’t heard by now…Jason Ryan has team up with Digicel and many of his co-workers at Dreamworks to create a new online school called ianimate.net – The Character Animation School. I have done multiple rounds of his webinars and they have been some of the best training tools I have used. He just had a free webinars that should answer most questions you have about the school and how it works. I think it’s going to be a great school for animators. Check out the webinar here.

Soooo… just a quick follow up on the post that I did a while back on Posing for animation (click here). I saw this post on Rad Sechrists’ “Rad How To” blog. Rad is a storyboard artist at Dreamworks
Animation. He just posted on Shape Design which goes hand n hand with my points on Curve vs
Straight.
