More from Splatfrog: Ken Fountain talks about Eyes and Finger Tips

Ken is really rolling out the Podcasts…I can’t keep up! But he is giving up some amazing tips on things to think about while animating acting shots. This one below is about how you could use the eye movements as your guide to laying out emotion in your characters. Fun stuff!

The Eyes Have It! – SplatFrog.com Podcast #07 from Ken Fountain on Vimeo.

He also just released another on the importance of animating all the way to The Finger Tips! Great looking character.

Speaking of Animation: Rise of the Guardians Podcast

Head on over to Speaking of Animation and enjoy a good Podcast with the Director of Rise of the Guardians, Peter Ramsey. I actually had the pleasure of seeing Peter speak in NYC during a pre-release screening of the movie where he introduced and chatted about the movie. He is super passionate about it and has a ton of experience.

A couple of Great Podcast: ParaNorman and Tangled

A couple of Great Podcast: ParaNorman and Tangled

Animation Podcast has just put up the “Unofficial Commentary” for Tangled. There has been a bit of a hiatus from the podcast over there and because of your the readers bugging Clay Kaytis every time you see him about when there will be a new podcast, he sat down the Disney Animators for commentary on Tangled. The idea is to sit down with your copy of Tangled and listen to the podcast as you watch…pretty sweet.

And you can also head on over to Speaking of Animation and check out a podcast all about ParaNorman. They got a chance to sit down with co-directors Chris Butler, Sam Fell, and Lead Animator/Producer Travis Knight, to discuss being an Animator and some of the creative process behind Story and Character.

So enjoy these two different Podcast! Great stuff!

Speaking of Animation Podcast: Rhythm & Hues

Head on over to the Speaking of Animation Blog to check a great little podcast. This time around they grabbed a bunch of the veterans from the Animation Department at Rhythm and Hues. I have had the privilege to work on many shows with this talented crew during my time at R&H and had some of the best times. I learned a ton from all of them and really wouldn’t be where I am today without them.

Great interview and good jobs to all my friends at Rhythm and Hues!

Free Animation Mentor Webinar with Eric Goldberg

Free Animation Mentor Webinar with Eric Goldberg

The time has come for another Animation Mentor free webinar!! This time CEO/Founder Bobby Beck will interview the brilliant veteran animator Eric Goldberg about his new book. Along the way I’m sure that he will add some great animation tips and it should be a great webinar. Also if you haven’t picked up his book, Character Animation Crash Course…I highly recommend it. It is probably one of my favorite educational tools. If you have not hit up Animation Podcast either Eric did a podcast there a while back that was great! You can check that out here.

Enjoy!
